Board of Trustees

The Foundation's Executive Board is supported by a Board of Trustees, which is made up of four highly qualified and renowned experts. The Board of Trustees advises and supports the Executive Board on strategic issues, and thus sets important priorities for the foundation's work. It also monitors the activities of the Executive Board and decides on the annual financial statements.

Prof. Dr. Jörg Neuzner
Prof. Dr. Neuzner is Director of the II Medical Clinic, Department of Cardiology at Klinikum Kassel GmbH. He specializes in the catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. Prof Dr Neuzner is involved in the nucleus of the Rhythmologie Working Group (WG 1) and the Telemonitoring Working Group (WG 33) of the German Cardiac Society, Cardiovascular Research.
Reinhold Preißler
Preißler has been working as a lawyer since 1986 and is the senior partner of the law firm Preißler Ohlmann & Partner, Fürth. In addition to his work in the field of foundation law, he specializes in providing strategic and constructive advice to service providers in the healthcare sector. He is a member of the legislative committee for medical law in the German Bar Association. He is also a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Bankakademie).
Prof. Dr. Dr. Reinhard Rychlik
Prof. Dr. Dr. Rychlik is a social scientist, economist and medical doctor. After a long career in medical research and habilitation, he teaches as a professor of health economics at the medical faculty of the Ruhr University in Bochum. He has been Director of the Institute for Empirical Health Economics in Burscheid since 1992. In addition to various teaching assignments in Germany and abroad, he works as an expert for the European Commission on health economics issues.
Dr. h.c. Hans-Werner Hector (until 1. April 2024)
Senator e.h. Dr. h.c. Hans-Werner Hector is a graduate mathematician, honorary senator of the University of Karlsruhe, entrepreneur and one of the founders of the software company SAP AG Waldorf. As an investor, he has supported start-ups in the fields of software, biotechnology and healthcare. Together with his wife, he is also involved in cultural activities and medical research, for which he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

He is a former member of the Board of Trustees.
